Feeling Naked in Chocolate SM

This is my first Blog.  A couple of months ago some friends told me to start doing a couple of really important things for my business; “Get yourself on Twitter, Facebook, and start a blog.”  OK…….what the heck are Twitter, Facebook, and Blog?  I didn’t ask those questions…are you kidding me, and act like I was not savvy to the “new world” of business!  No, I did what I do very well, and that is listen.  They told me a little of what I needed to know.  A few days later I find myself in the big middle of “the universe” as I’m Tweeting, and Facebooking with people I had no clue about!  The worst part was, not knowing what to say to these people…like they were right in front of me.  I had stage fright every-time I got on either Facebook or Twitter.  I was stumbling around like I’d been drinking all night.  I had to consult with my friends who had cheered me onto the universal state.  I finally got the hang of it, but I’m still stumbling around like a drunk duck! One of those friends said, “first step is just get it out there!”  Here I am, I mean here it is…the BLOG!

It’s taken me longer to start “THE BLOG” than it did to get started on Twitter and Facebook.  Oh my God….this just makes me feel like I’m exposing my naked body for the whole world to see.  I suppose it is not quite as bad as my first journey into Twitter and Facebook, since I’ve Tweeted and posted in Facebook for a few months now, but it’s still uncomfortable.   So I will not keep you long on this particular blog, as I’m just getting my feet wet folks, and they are really starting to get cold…know what I mean?

I won’t always bore you with tales of chocolate and make your mouth water to the point of feeling like you gain 5 lbs every time your read my blog; only sometimes.  It is my intent to share with you all aspects of Donya Marie’s Beyond Chocolate that I can, without giving you too much information…..like my secret recipes!

I’m still working on the appearance of my page and what all is supposed to go on it….another learning curve that takes up so much of my time.   I’ll get there, all for the love of chocolate!

  1. Welcome to the blogosphere! Is there really anything “beyond chocolate”??? =)

  2. It’s certainly an appealing topic Lori!

  3. Can’t wait to read more!

  4. Nice work! As someone who has allowed her own blog to go dormant for way too long, I’m finding you an inspiration.

  5. Congrats on the blog. I love mine, but just don’t update with new posts as much as I should. That is the key, so I hear–to update often and keep things interesting with photos, video and test, and try to get people interacting. It sometimes seems like a whole other job. But when the job is chocolate-related, who can complain?!

    • I can see it will be like another job. I write a newsletter for my customers each month and that feels like another job to. But, it’s what we you and I do for the love of chocolate Alan. Thank you for taking the time to read it Alan!
